The Low Vision Club was 10 years old in January, 2007 with Owl Radio
approaching 5 years. In recognition of these milestones, a special
“mini-gala” luncheon at the Pearl Stable Reception Center downtown was held on
Friday, January 26, 2007. Designed to be both a fundraiser and publicity
opportunity, the celebration featured County Judge Nelson Wolff as principal
speaker and Joe Gwathmey as master of ceremonies. An audio-visual
presentation of the work performed by our organizations was also a program
highlight, along with special music.

Low Vision Club founder Bonnie Truax, and board of directors member and
master of ceremonies Joe Gwathmey.
